Will a Type R steering wheel fit a standard Civic?

The rim shape can be reproduced, but the airbag and switch pods differ between Type R, Si and standard trims. We confirm your exact trim and model year before building.

Can I keep the Honda Sensing controls?

On most builds the original button pods are reused with your own core, so Honda Sensing and audio controls stay functional. We verify the connector layout first.

Is Alcantara good for a daily-driven Civic?

It gives excellent grip but mats faster with bare hands. For a daily driver used without gloves, perforated leather is usually the more practical choice.

Installation

Is any wiring cut during fitting?

None. Most wheels are direct OEM replacements, so the job involves no cutting, no splicing and no permanent modification.

How long is the fitting?

A professional typically takes 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the model.

Can I fit it myself?

We would rather you did not, given the airbag components and electronics inside the wheel. Where a customer does the work, we provide videos or installation drawings.

Will fault codes appear?

A correct install should produce neither warning lights nor fault codes.

Is this the whole wheel?

It is a complete assembly built to replace the factory steering wheel, not a cover, with OEM-level fitment and function.

Is the carbon genuine?

It is 100% real carbon fiber, including Forged Carbon and 3K Carbon options. Hydro-dipping, carbon-look wraps and imitation materials are not part of any build.

What is Forged Carbon?

Compressed carbon fragments create a unique, marbled pattern in every wheel, while strength and durability stay high.

Is it lighter than the OEM wheel?

Yes. Carbon construction reduces weight, and the lighter wheel improves steering feel.

How much customization is possible?

Leather, Alcantara, stitching colours, centre markers and carbon finishes are all on the list.

Can I order a flat bottom?

Flat bottom, D-shaped, round OEM style and performance racing style are available.

Are shift lights available?

Optional LED RPM displays and shift indicators can be added on selected models.

Does the heated wheel still work?

On compatible cars, factory heating is retained. Heating, vibration and ACC need specific harnesses and modules, so flag them during customization; extra fees may apply.

Will my airbag fit?

Most wheels reuse the original factory airbag without modification.

Is RHD supported?

Selected right-hand-drive models are available. Send the vehicle details to confirm.

Safety

Is the wheel safe?

OEM cores or OEM-compatible structures are used, with strict quality inspection. For the highest safety margin, keep the original factory frame, the OEM Core.

Will the carbon crack?

Under normal driving it does not; the material is durable and resists cracking.

Any change to airbag deployment?

No. Factory mounting points and airbag function are maintained.

What warranty do I get?

A 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in normal use.

What if the item arrives damaged?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos or video, and support will step in quickly.

Can I return it?

Standard products may be returned under the policy, which runs on 30 days and an RMA. Custom builds are generally non-returnable unless a defect is found.

Does the wheel come with airbag and buttons?

A full assembly with airbag, paddles, buttons and carbon trim can be supplied ready for the original plugs, or a bare disc if you want to fit your own parts.
